This very impressive piece was done by a long-time forum-friend of mine, Solarix – LD, as an entry for the May '10 Jordan's Town contest! Because of the obvious time that was put into it, this counts for at least two entries (maybe three, I haven't decided yet).
In either case, I secretly hope if he wins that he doesn't ask for fan art of his character because I doubt I could do as good 😀
My final entry for the 6th anniversary contest. I wanted to do a little more with it, but I ran out of time. In either case, I chose the Violet (flower) because they mean "Faithfulness". This poster could be about Cole's faithfulness to his people or that his people should be faithful to him.
In either case, I employ a classic manipulation trick of using innocent children for propaganda. Cole MUST be a good guy right? Look at how he is with children after all…
This was the sketch that I started for the 6th anniversary contest, but there were several things wrong with it so I never finished it. First, the orientation was wrong. It was only after I finished the sketch that I remembered they wanted horizontal not vertical. Second, it occurred to me that making a propaganda poster for citizens wouldn't have a picture of Tyrant in his Villain suit. In theory, they only know him as emperor Cole.
Anyway, I was going to draw him holding the city in his hands while he stepped on and over resistance people and equipment. Unfinished, but kinda cool looking anyway.
My fourth catgirl sketch! This one was particularly difficult due to angle and perspective, but I had fun with it. The is the first one that includes action and other characters. Kind of like a mini comic 🙂
Here's the background story Akaiku provided that led to this sketch:
Zalya Destrali, Petty red-haired thief and thug until one day the great poisoning of the water of both Rogue Isles and Paragon gave her, like so many others, feathered wings. Siezing on the confusion, she flew through a high window in a Paragon Police headquarters she snuck next to and stole most of an experimental armor suit. Now she goes around pouncing things for fun and profit, often from large heights causing rampant property damage.
She has tried several times to add claws to her armor, but they keep breaking off, to her irritation. She is glompy to people she likes, but that often doesn't end terribly well. More likely to roar then mew as she's more lion then kitten.
